Gradually going blind and losing his kidneys, life went from amazing to horrific. But an encounter with Holy Spirit during the Alpha Holy Spirit weekend opened the eyes of O’Neil’s heart. 

“During Alpha, I realised that God is not a vague entity. But God was someone real.”

“(Alpha) makes the experience of God and religion a joyful experience, where (the guests) are discovering and there is no fear in discovering.” 

With only less than 5% of parishioners actively participating in ministry, Father Savio realised that maybe they haven’t had a full and personal relationship with Jesus, and discovered that Alpha can give them that experience.

Bridgetown Church used Alpha to take the gospel to their city because their city wasn’t coming to church.

Knowing Jesus at Alpha changed my life. It changed everything for me.

Alpha was very welcoming and very casual. It just felt that I was going hanging out with my friends.

If anyone said anything to me, I’d pick a fight.

Within the space of a day I went from being the youngest child to an only child.

Alpha was a safe place where I could say out loud whatever I had to say.
