Alpha Dinners can take the form of picnics, barbeques, banquets, tea parties, coffee mornings – whatever works best. The idea is to have a relaxed, low-key event to which people can feel comfortable bringing their friends, family, neighbours and colleagues. Why not join with other churches in your area and host a fun event in an imaginative venue? We recommend having your first dinner starting around the 14th April.
What is an Alpha dinner?
An Alpha dinner is a meal, perhaps with live music, followed by testimonies and the Introductory Alpha talk: ‘Is there more to life than this?’. The evening rounds off with coffee and invitations to an Alpha course starting soon after.
A dinner could be a few people in someone’s home or many hundred at a fun, imaginative, local venue.
