Alpha in New Zealand began in 1995. When the first Alpha Conference was held in 1996, there were 70 churches on the directory. Today there are over one thousand.
Every denomination is represented in the range of churches using Alpha.
STAFF
Jonathan Hesp
is the Executive Director and is responsible for the organisation and effective running of Alpha in New Zealand. He is the point of contact for international Alpha offices and also oversees the strategic mission of Alpha in New Zealand.
John White
is the Alpha Ministries Development Manager and oversees training for all Alpha Courses (Alpha, Student Alpha, Youth Alpha, The Marriage Course, etc.). He also oversees N.Z. training missions also known as G.A.T. (Global Alpha Training). He relates to Church Leaders, Advisers and the Practitioners who run the courses.
is the Administration Manager and support person to our field workers. She overseas the accounting, order processing, and shipping of Alpha Resources.
